9 events you can’t miss in Hong Kong this May, from IU and 9m88’s concerts to a mental health panel by local athletes

Spring in Hong Kong has been exceptionally busy so far. Between Creamfields, Art Basel, Hong Kong Film Awards and the Rugby Sevens, the city has already welcomed many globally-recognised events—and it looks like May will continue to the same tune.

This month, Hong Kong is blessed with a number of concerts and meet-and-greet from artists coming from South Korea and Taiwan, as well as local and international festivals, panel discussions and exciting exhibitions. Here are the events you’ll want to add to your calendar for May 2024.Taiwanese artist 9m88 is returning to Hong Kong for a show on May 25. Fresh off her stunning and packed out performance at Clockenflap Festival last Decembre, the soul singer will play her largest headline show yet with her full band at the MacPherson Stadium. Make sure to listen to both her latest album Sent (2023) and her classics such as Aim High (2019) ahead of the show.
