Chinese officials stated that China is prepared to support a political resolution to the “crisis” in Ukraine.

Ning was making a statement on Denmark’s willingness to hold peace talks in Ukraine in July.

According to the Danish foreign minister, nations like India, China, and Brazil would need to participate in the planned peace summit.

Ning remarked, “We don’t yet know precisely how this conference is being prepared.

“We are prepared to collaborate with the international community and to continue to contribute positively to the political resolution of the Ukraine crisis,” the statement reads.

Li Hui, a diplomat from China, came in Kyiv on May 17 to further negotiations to put a stop to Russia’s all-out invasion of Ukraine. Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine, and Dmytro Kuleba, the foreign minister, met with him.

The officials spoke about methods to curb Russian aggression as well as bilateral collaboration between Kiev and Beijing and inside international institutions.

Kuleba further emphasized that Ukraine firmly opposes any suggestions that call for giving up any of its land or pausing its current defensive actions against Russian aggression.

Hui is credited as stating in a statement from the Chinese Foreign Ministry on May 18 that “there is no panacea in resolving the crisis.”

The following day, Andriy Yermak, the chief of staff to the Ukrainian president, had a briefing where he discussed Hui’s meeting with Ukrainian officials in detail.

Yermak highlighted at the discussion that Ukraine wants to restore its territorial integrity and achieve a fair and lasting peace, as outlined in the Ukrainian Peace Formula.

Along with the front-line situation, the diplomats also spoke about the Black Sea Grain Initiative, the Russian military’s operations at Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant, and the kidnapping and forced adoption of Ukrainian children by Russian invaders.
